He is known professionally as Jax Taylor but he was born Jason Michael Cauchi on the 11th of July 1979. He was born and raised in Shelby Township, Oceana County, Michigan. His mother Marie is originally from Australia while his father Ronald Cauchi is originally from Malta. He grew up alongside one sibling, a sister named Jenny Lynn. Taylor attended Eisenhower High School in Shelby Township and graduated in 1998. He originally enrolled at Michigan State University for his college education but he ultimately dropped out to join the Navy.
