For many, Jared Abrahamson is only an actor who has gained fame for films like Hello Destroyer and the Netflix series Travelers. However, he is more than just an actor as he is also a film producer and a mixed martial artist who is known by the name Woolfbllod. He did not start acting as early as many would wish to start, but he has come a long way considering where he came from and all he has been able to achieve through the years.

Jared Abrahamson was born on November 19, 1987, in Flin Flon, Canada. It was also there that he was brought up although there is no information about his parents and his childhood. The actor has three brothers and also three step-siblings.

More so, it is known that unlike many who follow the acting or entertainment path because they have always had a passion for it, Jared decided to tow the acting path because he wanted to get out.

As the town that he was brought up was a mining town, the most popular dream for many naturally was to succeed in it. Like others, he also took a job as a miner. He divided his time between mining and training as a martial arts fighter. He was quite good as a martial artist and he chose the name Woolfblood when he fought professionally for a short while.

He decided to become an MMA fighter because there were so much bar fights for him and his friends when they were growing up, so they decided to channel the fight in a new direction and make a career out of it.

By the time he was 20, Jared Abrahamson decided it was time for him to pack up and leave. This was after a friend told him he was quitting school to go and study acting in Vancouver. He raised money in the mines and left to pursue a career as an actor. In fact, this was one of the main reasons why he took the mining job.

For his education, he is a graduate of Vancouver Film School where he studied to become an actor.

With the years that followed, Jared Abrahamson appeared in everything from short film to movies, TV films, and TV series. He was in Coming Home Soon in 2009, Finding a Family (2011), and Travelers (2018). He was also in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (2012), The Submarine Kid (2015), Hello Destroyer (2017), and American Animals (2018).

Jared does not only appear in a good number of productions both in Canada and Hollywood, but he has also been recognized with awards and nominations. In 2016, he was awarded the VFCC Award for Best Actor in a Canadian Film; this was for his role in Hello Destroyer (2016). He also won the Leo award for the same work in the category of Best Lead Performance by a Male in a Motion Picture.

1. He has not left his past completely

Although he used to be a martial artist and a kickboxer professionally, one would think that with acting, he would leave that entirely. However, he still trains continuously as a boxer. Living in New York, he revealed that when he is not shooting, his time is always spent training in a boxing gym.

2. Growing up was wild for him

The Canadian actor revealed that growing up in Flin Flon was rather wild because the blue collard town forced one to grow very fast. He said the community saw so much fighting, drinking, and other things in the line. The town is located 5 hours from the city so it was mostly cut out from the outside world.

3. Relationship and dating

When it comes to his love life, Jared tries as much as possible to maintain everything in private. Because of this, his activities in the dating arena is not known. However, he once had a girlfriend whom it is not known if he is still dating. He revealed in an interview that he sometimes messages her on set about how lucky he is to get to where he is today.
