While he was there, he signed for an athletic grant-in-aid which enabled him to play for the North Alabama Lions football team, headed by coach Terry Bowden. Currently, he plays for the New York Giants and is tied to a five-year deal. In his career so far, Jenkins has been listed as the sixth-best cornerback in the nation’s prospects as well as being rated a four-star recruit by Rivals.com.
