Who Was James Heltibridle from The Walking Dead?
Very few records exist on the internet about who James Heltibridle is. This can be understood as he wasn’t really famous until after his death when season 7, episode 9 of The Walking Dead was dedicated to him. Nonetheless, a few places where his profile was listed has it that he was born on the 29th day of November 1988 in the United States of America. Obviously to white American parents seeing that he was white.
For his childhood life and early education, sadly, no disclosure has been made in this respect. What James liked as a child, devoted time doing, the friends he kept, and whether or not he was involved with sports are some of the many background details of this much-beloved man that seems to have all been lost with his death. However, there were some satisfying findings when we beamed our searchlight into his later educational profile. James Heltibridle was reported to have studied at North Carolina School of the Arts – a public coeducational arts conservatory located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Here, he had specialized education in Visual Merchandising, SketchUp Modeling, and Art Direction. He graduated in the year 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in film production and production design.
After schooling, he began pursuing his career in the film industry where he soon grew to become a production designer. Heltibridle at the time worked as a filmmaker on short films like Memoris (2012) and Death and the Robot (2013). Further findings revealed that he became a part of The Walking Dead crew in season 6. Some pictures which he posted on his Twitter profile (@HeltibridleCo) suggests this. The selfies showed him with Daryl Dixon, Norman Reedus and even Chloe Bennet (who attended as Austin Nichols’ partner) at the premiere of the series season 6 which held at the Madison Square Garden in October 2015. While he lived, James worked in the props department of The Walking Dead.
With regards to his relationship life, the filmmaker was not publicly known to have been in any relationship neither was he married. Probably, James Heltibridle’s life was all about his career and how best to grow it before the cold hands of death took hold of him.
How Did He Die?
Sadly, James Heltibridle left the world too soon to the shock of all those who knew him. As at the time of his death, he was hale and hearty but for a motor vehicle accident, his life was cut short. The budding filmmaker died on the 10th of November 2016 while on his way home from the set of the series. He was 19 days shy of his 28 birthday when he died.
Following his demise, some crew members of The Walking Dead, his fans and some other people who knew him took to their social media pages to express their shock over Heltibridle’s death. Michael Jaegers officially Undead Fan Facebook group announced his death describing him as one of the “unsung heroes” of the series and the film industry in general. The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Michael Rooker, Coleman Youmans and several others who knew him and worked with him all expressed shock over his passing.
Though James Heltibridle is no more, he will and should always be remembered by all who reads his story. He was such a talented and nice young man with a zest for hard work. Perhaps, if he was still alive, news outlets and celebrity blogs would have all been awash with tidings of his exploits in the acting industry. Nevertheless, the much he accomplished while he lived still stands tall and speaks for him.
