Who is Jadiann Thompson and How Old is She?

Thompson apparently likes to play her cards close to her chest. There is nothing known about her parents, siblings, or her early education and childhood experiences. Many sources, however, quote her birth date to be on the 22nd of March. The exact year of her birth is unclear. A few sources claim it to be 1984, however, they also state a different month and day.

Information regarding her education only becomes accessible from her University days. The journalist did her college education at the University of Arkansas. Jadiann enrolled at Arkansas in 2002 and graduated from the institution in 2007. While there, she interned for two months in 2006 under Congressman John Boozman. She obtained a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism during her stay.

After her time at Arkansas, one would have expected to plunge headfirst into the world of journalism but she didn’t. Her first job out of school was a teaching job. She took up employment as an English teacher at Gredos San Diego. The job didn’t last long however, starting and ending in 2008.

Next, she got her first gif in the world of journalism. Jadiann Thompson was hired by Mark III Media. She stayed with the media franchise for two years, starting in February 2009. Her first responsibility was that of a reporter. She was then subsequently promoted to the office of producer and anchor covering the 5, 6, and 10 o’clock news. Before she left in February 2011, she had also served in the role of an Assistant News Director.

Jadiann joined KPHO – A Meredith Corporation two months later. Here she worked as a fill-in anchor and a multimedia journalist. She covered some hot topics during her time there. Thompson reported on the Joe Arpaio, the trial of Jodi Arias, Arizona’s Wallow Fire, and the anniversary of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords’ shooting among other things. She left KPHO in April 2013.

In the same month, she was brought on by KSHB. Here she anchored the network’s 6 pm evening news every weekday and it quickly became the network’s highest-rated evening broadcast. She also pitched, edited, and wrote stories for the afternoon newscasts, and the network’s websites, while managing their social media. Jadiann joined WHDH in June 2015, again, fulfilling the role of Evening News Anchor, except this time, she was anchoring many more evening news time slots than she was at KSHB. Her most popular work for WHDH is on 7News and 7NBC.

Jadiann Thompson is undoubtedly a stellar journalist that still has a lot more to give. But for the much she has given and the skills she has shown in the line of duty, the journalist has received her fair share of awards and recognition. She is a three-time Emmy Award recipient.
