The deGrominator who has been pitching for the New York Mets since his MLB debut in 2014 is indeed a true champion of the game as he has been praised on several quarters for his skills and has bagged many awards.

The famous baseball player was born as Jacob Anthony DeGrom in Deland, Florida on the 19th day of June 1988 to his parents Tony and Tammy. He was raised with his two elder sisters in Florida. After his years at the Calvary Christian Academy in Ormond Beach, Florida where he attended high school, the American professional baseball player attended Stetson University. While there, he was active in college baseball, playing for the university’s team – Stetson Hatters. There was no doubt that Jacob was cut out for a baseballing career. He initially played as a shortstop but later converted into a pitcher after it was observed that he pitched remarkably.

Luck was friendly with The deGrominator who was drafted by the New York Mets during the 2010 MLB draft. He was selected during the 9th round however, it was on the 15th day of May 2014 that he made his MLB debut with the club, this happened after he was promoted to major leagues a few days earlier. The year turned out to be a good one for the star, apart from being named the National League’s (NL) Rookie of the Month twice, he was ultimately named the NL Rookie of the Year. The man now celebrated as The deGrominator was brought up by his parents; Tony (father) and Tammy (mother). It is said that his father works with AT&T whereas his mom supported the family working as a customer service personnel.

Jacob Degrom was raised in Florida alongside two elder sisters namely; Jessica and Sarah. In a bid to support his son’s career, Tony constructed a batting cage at the back of his house for Jacob to practice on as a result; the baseball player always gives credit to his father for the way his career has turned out.

The baseball star’ love life is a simple one; he met his wife Stacey after he graduated from high school and in November 2014, the lovebirds tied the nuptial knot. They are currently living together in Deland, Florida where they are building their family. Apart from caring for their Morkie, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy they named Jaxon in April 2016. In 2018, they welcomed their second child who turned out to be a baby girl, she was named Aniston.
