Early Life And Career
Born October 30, 1981, in New York City, Ivanka’s success as a businesswoman can be traced down to her great-grandmother Elizabeth Christ Trump who started the Trump Organisation and handed it over to her grandfather Fred Trump who in turn passed it on to her father, Donald Trump. As a youngster, she went to the Chapin School in Manhattan before proceeding to Choate Rosemary Hall boarding school in Wallingford, Connecticut which was not an exciting experience for the young New Yorker.
During her days in boarding school, Ivanka ventured into modelling which she did part-time on weekends. She has done promotional campaigns for brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Sasson Jeans and has been on the cover of the magazine Seventeen in 1997. She started working in The Trump Organisation as the Executive Vice President of Development & Acquisition in 2005. Although working for her father, the model and businesswoman collaborated with designers like Diamond Vendor, Dynamic Diamond Corporation to start her own Jewellery line which she later expanded into a shoe and clothing line.
Ivanka used one stone to kill two birds during her promotion campaign as she would advertise for both her fashion line and The Trump Organisation. In 2011 her business expanded and she had to move from a small retail store in Madison Avenue to a much bigger place at 109 Mercer Street located in the fashion-inclined Soho District but moved in 2016 to The Trump Tower. Her jewellery brand is sold in U.S, Canada, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
In addition to her modelling and business career, Ivanka has also made appearances on TV shows and films too. 1n 1997, the model and businesswoman was a co-host at the Miss Teen USA.
