The British broadcaster cum actor has the full birth name Iain Lee Rougvie and was born on the 9th of June 1973 in Slough, Buckinghamshire, England.
Iain Lee was a student of Herschel Grammar School, before proceeding to the Middlesex University to complete his education, graduating with a degree in Performance Arts.
The British entertainer began his career in 1998 when he moved to London and was involved in standup comedy shows all across the city. Afterwards, Iain Lee became the host of a comedy programme dubbed The 11 O’clock Show along with Mackenzie Crook and Daisy Donovan. However, after three years, Iain went further to host an early morning show on Channel 4 named RI: SE along with Kate Lawler. He was also seen in the Channel 4 show Thumb Bandits and has hosted the Big Brother show-Bit on the Psych on Channels 5. Not only that, Iain has appeared on other programmes like; The Wright Stuff, This Morning on ITV and the Sports News as a Newspaper Reviewer.

However, he was re-employed by his LBC boss David Lloyd at the Absolute Station, where he worked as a presenter on the Sunday Night Show.
In 2012, his services were needed by the BBC Three Counties Radio and Iain commenced work as a presenter on the “Breakfast Show”, doing marvellously well and in the second year of working for the station, he was awarded the Radio Academy Award for Breakfast Show of the Year. Nonetheless, the next year, his appointment was terminated by the station after they received complaints about an interview with a Christian Lawyer and how he used harsh words on the lawyer for sharing her own opinion against homosexuality, backed up with scriptural references.
As an experienced broadcaster, getting another job wasn’t a problem for Iain Lee, so, in the spring of 2016, he landed another job at the talkRADIO Station, where he worked as the host of a late-night programme named “The Late Night Alternative” along with his close friend and producer Katherine Boyle. More so, he still works for the station and his prowess in the industry earned him a Gold award for Best Speech Presenter – non-Breakfast during the ARIA Awards in 2017.
