In modern media, the biggest films are those that are based on characters who were taken from comics, and Marvel Comics have had a huge success in this regard with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But there are superheroes that have been featured in television shows and films even before the current wave of superhero films that sprung up in the 2000s; one of these superheroes is Hulk. Here some Hulk movies where the comic character fondly referred to as the Incredible Hulk has featured in.
The History of the Incredible Hulk Character
The character of the Hulk was created by the now late Stan Lee and Jack Kirby who is also dead. The first comic that featured the Hulk was the issue of The Incredible Hulk which was released in May of 1962. This character is one that is made up of two identities; one is the physicist Dr. Bruce Banner and the Hulk who is the alter ego of Banner. Banner is a weaker version of the two and the Hulk came to be as a result of a failed experiment.
There had been a detonation of a gamma bomb and Banner in an attempt to save a teenager who had driven into the testing field, got exposed to rays from the detonated bomb. The effects of the exposure occurred at night and a soldier who was pursuing him dubbed him Hulk. The hulk only appears when Banner has been angered and his existence is built on the abuse he suffered as a kid.
While Banner is weak and helpless the Hulk balances off this weakness with his strength. The Hulk is one of the most popular comic superheroes and there is a lot of paraphernalia that features the character, these include theme parks, clothes, video games, and more importantly, movies.
