According to the internet, our beloved cartoon character Peppa Pig is 7 feet 1 inch or 2.159 meters. This makes her taller than fellow cartoon character Caillou, who stands around 5 feet 11 inches.
For the longest time, fans of the popular British animated children’s series, Peppa Pig, believed that the titular character boasted of an average height just like most other cartoon characters out there. They, however, got the shock of their lives in 2019 after it was revealed that their lovable cheeky little piggy is most likely a giant.

Many people previously assumed that Peppa Pig boasted of an average height of about 3 feet 9 inches to 4 feet. That figure was indeed touted by several fan sites but a quick google search will reveal that the cheeky piggy, who loves nothing more than playing games, dressing up, days out, and jumping in muddy water, could actually be as tall as 7 feet 1 inch.

Some fans have also had the chance to meet the beloved character in real life at one of her theme parks and have disclosed that she is actually quite tall in real life. Several sources have reached out to the studios behind Peppa Pig to confirm the same but they have refused to do so. This does not come as a surprise given that all the frenzy over Peppa Pig’s height only serves to make the franchise even more popular.

The Peppa Pig franchise now goes beyond the 5-minute cartoons and includes books as well as a live-action movie. There is also a thriving merchandise line featuring everything from toys to household items, food, drink, vehicles, etc. The series also boasts of about three theme parks located in London, Shanghai, and Beijing.
The Peppa Pig franchise generates about £100 million each year and in 2019, American entertainment and global play company, Hasbro, shelled out £2.8 billion to take over the studio behind the franchise, namely Entertainment One.
Peppa Pig’s Height in Comparison to Daddy Pig and Mummy Pig
The natural order of things means that most parents are bigger than their kids. These kids may surpass their parents someday but at least while still young, their parents tower over them. The case appears to be no different with Peppa Pig as several internet warriors have sought to gauge her parent’s height with the conclusion being that they are equally tall as well. The work-from-home/voluntary firefighter Mummy Pig is said to be about 11 feet 6 inches while Daddy Pig, described as a jovial and bespectacled fellow, is estimated to have a height of as much as 14 feet 2 inches.

This is simply mind-blowing and while many would not believe it seeing as even the tallest persons to walk the face of the earth have not breached 9 feet, anything goes in the cartoon world where characters can fall out of skyscrapers or get rolled over by a car and then get up and just carry on like nothing ever happened to them.
Meanwhile, another tall member of the Peppa Pig family is none other than her younger brother, George. George’s height is also put at 7 feet 1 inch, a fact that would not make his famous sister happy as she always assumed that she would be naturally taller than George given that she is older than him.
How Old is Peppa Pig?
Cartoon characters rarely grow old or die and this is the case with Peppa Pig who has remained four years old despite being on our screens for more than a decade now. One impressive feat about the cartoon though is that the creators have a history of hiring age-appropriate children to voice the role. Back in 2004 when Peppa Pig first came on air, the character was voiced by the then six-year-old Lily Snowden Fine. Another child actress in the mold of Cecily Bloom would take over for a short stint before a five-year-old named Harley Bird was hired to take over in 2007.
Harley Bird would voice the iconic role for a total of 185 episodes spread across 13 years, winning a BAFTA award in the process. She reportedly earned about £1,000 per hour for her role and was also the voice behind the debut Peppa Pig album which equally became a hit in 2019. Bird would later step down from the life-changing role in 2020 and a nine-year-old named Amelie Bea Smith replaced her. The transition has so far been a smooth one helped in part by the fact that Smith has been a huge fan of the show since she was little.
Is Peppa Pig Dead?
If you are a fan of Peppa Pig, I would like to reassure you that your favorite cartoon character is not going anywhere anytime soon and that you would be getting more of the same light-hearted storyline that the show is famous for. The only rumors swirling about Peppa Pig’s death are as a result of several fan theories online.
In one alternative backstory on watt pad, a fellow with a really creative imagination surmises that all of the beloved characters we see in Peppa Pig are actually dead humans who resurrected as animals. As the story goes, Peppa Pig was quite sickly as a child and her parents decided to euthanize her after which she turned into a pig. The horror does not stop there as Peppa Pig’s dad couldn’t stand the guilt and thus decided to kill the entire family, including himself, in a murder-suicide.
Peppa Pig’s best friend, Suzy, also gets run over by a truck while her mother supposedly dies of a drug overdose. As earlier stated, these are all the imaginings of people with very creative minds and your beloved Peppa Pig is not dying off anytime soon. After all, it is the world of cartoons where nothing sad touches their rainbow-tinted existence.
