Find Out Why HotShot Disbanded
The last time Hotshot released any song was in November 2018. It appears that the group is presently on a hiatus as there is no official statement either from the group or management about the dissolution of the group
In 2017, Sungwoon and Taehyun participated in Produce 101 Season 2. While Taehyun ranked 25th and was eliminated, Sungwoon ranked 11th and became a part of a temporary boy group Wanna One. According to the contract they had with his company, he promoted with the Wanna One until the end of 2018 after which he returned to HotShot.
Taehyun on the other hand later joined the fan-created group of Produce 101 Season 2. He promoted with them for 7 months (between October 2017 to April 2018) before returning to the group.
Hojung and Timoteo also participated in the TV series The Unit which ended with Hojung coming 3rd and Timoteo 10th. Hojung then became a member of UNB and was scheduled to promote with them between 7 to 25 months depending on how successful the group turns out.
With the amount of self investments the majority of the members have had to put in to gain popularity for their group, it’s doubtful if the group will disband any time soon. The downside to all these activities outside the group is that they don’t get enough time to work together as a group. Fans are still optimistic though that they might come back with a bang!
