Graham Rogers – Biography, Family Facts, Movies and TV Shows

Anybody familiar with the “…and can I get a hot tub?” line from the famous State Farm Insurance T.V commercial will certainly know the man behind the line. Graham Rogers is also popular for his performances in some series and films such as American comedy Struck by Lightning where he played the role of Scott Thomas, American biopic drama Love and Mercy, Netflix released T.V series Atypical, ABC released thriller series Quantico and many others. The American actor’s acting career has spanned nearly a decade with him featuring in over 20 films and TV series.

Graham Rogers’ Biography

Rogers was born in the U.S state of Pennsylvania, West Chester to be precise, on 17th December 1990. His parents, John and Susan Rogers, previously had a girl and two boys before him and after he was born, another boy was added to the family, making them a family of seven. Graham had his high school education at West Chester East High School, popularly known as WC East. Upon graduation, he left Pennsylvania for the city of Los Angeles in California to follow his boyhood dream of becoming an actor.

Rogers went into professional acting in 2009 but made his debut in 2011, starring in just one episode of American comedy-drama series, Memphis Beat. The series had the likes of Jason Lee, Sam Hennings, Celia Weston, Alfre Woodard, and many other top Hollywood acts. His next film role was that of Brad in horror film, 1313: Haunted Frat. The David DeCoteau directed film had top cast members like Freddy Roy, Derek North, Adam Phebus and Jake Madden amongst others. The film was also released in 2011.

Struck by Lightning, a comedy-drama film which Graham Rogers became famous for was released in 2012. The movie, which was written by Chris Colfer and directed by Brian Dannelly, saw Graham play the role of Scott Thomas. The movie went on to win the award for Best LGBT Film at the Key West Film Festival in 2012.

In 2012, the talented actor was named among the cast for American TV series Revolution created by Eric Kripke. Rogers featured in 11 episodes, playing the role of Danny Matheson. The series was a huge success, bagging one Primetime Emmy Award in 2013, back to back Saturn Award in 2013 and 2014 for Best Network Television Series and many other awards.

The America actor in 2013 starred in Crazy Kind of Love, a comedy romance movie, which also starred great acts like Amanda Crew, Zach Gilford, Sam Trammell, and many others. 2014 saw Rogers play the roles of Jake Jordan in Red Zone and Al Jardine in epic American biopic movie Love & Mercy, a story depicting the life and times of famous member of Beach Boys Brian Wilson. The latter which was directed by Bill Pohlad had the likes of Paul Dano, John Cusack, Elizabeth Banks and Paul Giamatti feature as major casts.

Graham was among the top-billed cast in 2015 released thriller, Careful What You Wish For. He starred alongside Nick Jonas, Kiki Harris, and David Sherrill. In the same year under review, he appeared in 7 episodes of TV series Resident Advisors and in 2 episodes of Zombie Basement. Quantico, a series created by Joshua Safran, began airing in 2015 and ended in 2017 – Rogers appeared in a total of 24 episodes playing the role of Caleb Haas. His performance on the TV show earned him much acclaim and praise.

In 2017, Graham Rogers also starred in one movie, 1 Mile to You, and three other series asides Quantico which was already on at the time. The other shows were Angie Tribeca, Silicon Valley and SMILF, playing very minor roles in each of them. He also started appearing in Award-winning TV series Atypical in 2017. He appeared in over 15 episodes as Evan Chapin.

The award-winning actor appeared in only one episode of American series Love which was released in 2018. Jude was the name of the character Rogers played in The Kominsky Method, a blockbuster that starred the likes of Michael Douglas, Alan Arkin, and Sarah Baker. His performance in all 14 episodes he appeared in was exceptional. The series went on to win 2 Golden Globe Awards. Graham Rogers featured in 20 episodes of the series Ray Donovan, a series created by Ann Biderman.

He has one sister, two older brothers and one younger brother. His sister’s name is Cat Rogers.
