Who Is Ferne McCann Baby Father – Arthur Collins?
Not much is known about the life of Arthur Collins before he started dating Ferne McCann in 2016. That being said, we can split his identity into two phases. The first phase comes prior to his relationship with Ferne McCann. In this phase, he was simply known as a businessman and a scaffolder. There is no information available to the media about his exact date of birth. He is, however, believed to be in his mid-20s as at the time of this writing.
Arthur Collins hails from Broxbourne, Hertfordshire. Just like his date of birth, nothing is known concerning his educational background. Growing up, he was raised by his parents, Arthur Collins Snr (father) and Jackie Collins (Mother) in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, England.
The second phase revolves around him being the lover of former Miss Essex 2012, Ferne McCann. As at the time Arthur and Ferne became an item, the latter had just completed a bold switch from reality TV to TV presenting. Among other things, Ferne was admired for appearing as a showbiz reporter on the ITV daily programme, This Morning. In 2017, McCann revealed in an OK! magazine exclusive edition that she had found the man of her dreams in Arthur Collins. According to her, their paths first crossed in 2016 when she followed him on Instagram and after a while, they decided to start dating.
Sadly, their relationship came to an abrupt end in 2017 when he was arrested by the police for having a hand in an acid attack in a Nightclub in London. Two days after his arrest, she announced her pregnancy and has since given birth to a daughter she named Sunday.
What Did He Do?
The undoing of Arthur Collins started on the 17th of April 2017, in a nightclub in London. CCTV footage from that day shows Arthur Collins punching a mystery man in the face before throwing a bottle filled with PH1 acid on the merry crowd and then fleeing the scene of the crime immediately. The incident left sixteen people chemically burned and three others temporarily blind. The next day, the Police declared him officially wanted. On hearing this, he went into hiding but was eventually apprehended in a house in Northamptonshire by 30 gallant police officers.
On the 13th of November 2017, Collins was found guilty of five counts of grievous bodily harm as well as nine counts of actual bodily harm by Judge Noel Lucas at the Wood Green Crown Court in London, England. He pleaded innocent, claiming he was totally unaware of the content of the bottle since he intercepted it from a group of guys he heard plotting on how to use the date rape drug on a certain girl that night.
The revisiting of his past criminal records showed that he once threatened his ex-girlfriend years ago with acid after she broke up with him. That was enough evidence the judge needed to find him guilty. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison with further 5 years on license.
Where Is He Now?
Arthur Collins is serving his time in jail. However, the name of the prison where he’s locked up isn’t known to the media. In January 2018, eight extra months were added to his sentence when he was found guilty of smuggling a phone to his prison cell which he used in contacting Ferne McCann. Later that year, he accepted for the first time that he was fully aware of the content in the bottle.
Shortly after that, he filed an appeal calling for a reduced sentence, but it was turned down by the judge. It was further revealed that he would have to serve at least two-thirds of his jail term before he gets considered for parole.
