He also developed an interest in rap music at a tender age and began conjuring thoughts of being a professional rapper like his idols Tupac, Jadakiss, Lil Wayne, and Jay Z.

Growing up in the tough neighborhood of New Jersey comes with its perks but at the same time, it has its pitfalls. While it sure did help toughen FatBoy SSE up, it gave him a “get rich quick mindset” at the age of 14. With no jobs capable of making that possible at the time, he began selling Marijuana but soon progressed to selling hard drugs like cocaine and meth. At the age of 18, he was arrested for the first time and sent to jail but was later freed after a few months. His involvement in drug peddling would see him get arrested on five occasions, until the age of 22 when he made a pact with himself to change for the better once released.

Upon his release from jail, FatBoy SSE took up a job at a fast food restaurant called Chipotle but was fired three months later for lateness. That singular act of disappointment made him realize he was not cut out for such jobs, hence, he decided to fulfill his childhood dreams of becoming a rapper. Soon afterwards, he began posting his music online, before enlisting the help of Lady Jewels to release a track in 2015 titled Want U. In 2016, he released his debut mixtape titled Fat Bastard, which included songs like Mind Yo Business, 2 big Macs featuring Tedd Bundles and McDonald’s Freestyle. The EP which became an instant success on its release was the perfect boost FatBoy needed in his career. In 2017, he released two more albums titled A Fat Kid Loves Cake and 2 Fat which caught the eye of some of hip hops finest like Meek Mill and 50 Cent.
