During her lifetime, Stevie Ryan was a highly talented YouTube personality, comedienne and actress. She rose to fame for her sketch comedy videos and internet parodies which were shared via her ‘Little Loca’ YouTube channel.

Following her success on the social media, Stevie Ryan made a smooth transition into mainstream media as she landed a number of notable television gigs. She headlined her own comedy show on the VH1 network Stevie TV and also served as a co-host on the E! network pop culture show Sex with Brody.

Sadly, the multitalented star died in June 2017 at age 33, bringing a tragic end to her life and her promising career.

Stevie Kathleen Ryan was born on June 2, 1984, in Riverside, California. At age 2, her family relocated to the small village of Victorville, California where she was raised. Her father Steve Ryan owns a trucking business Desert Scale Company. She grew up alongside 2 siblings; an older brother named Eric and a younger brother named Cody. She had her early education at Liberty Elementary School in Victorville and for high school, she schooled at Silverado High School. Upon graduation, she enrolled at Victor Valley College in Victorville, California, however, it is unclear if she completed her college degree.

Stevie Ryan moved to Los Angeles at age 19 to pursue a career in modeling and acting. While her Hollywood career was starting to pick up, Ryan stumbled upon the 21st-century gold mine called the internet which eventually proved to be a faster means to fame. Armed with her then boyfriend’s camera and the editing software of her personal computer, the talented youngster started dishing out her own YouTube videos. At first, she experimented with diverse kinds of videos but eventually, she began to draw a wide audience when she started making parody videos of celebrities and popular TV shows.

Thanks to her hilarious A-lister impressions, Ryan’s viewership soared from a few hundred to several thousand clicks within a relatively short period. From Justin Bieber to Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian, no one was spared from Ryan’s hilarious impersonations. Among her most popular parodies are those on Amy Winehouse which have cumulated over 11 million views since they were uploaded in August 2007. She equally created a collection of her own original characters including ‘Little Loca’ and ‘Sceney Sceneable’. Ryan’s success on the internet gained her the attention of several TV networks which paved the way to an easy progression to mainstream media. One of her earlier TV gigs was as the co-host of the short-lived reality show Online Nation on The CW network.

In 2012, Ryan’s parody video of the E! reality series Pretty Wild gained the attention of one of the show’s production companies New Wave Entertainment and consequently, this snowballed into the development of her own sketch comedy series Stevie TV on the VH1 network. The series mainly centered around Ryan’s impersonation of Hollywood A-listers with an infusion of her own original characters. Stevie TV lasted for 2 seasons from March 2012 to July 2013. In July 2015, Stevie Ryan co-hosted the relationship talk show Sex with Brody on the E! network alongside TV personality Brody Jenner and relationship therapist Dr. Mike Dow.

Stevie Ryan was unmarried during her lifetime, however, she had a number of romantic involvements. The most notable among her relationships was with Hollywood actor and musician Drake Bell. Their relationship dates back to 2005 and it lasted a little over a year.

Ryan was also rumored to have dated blogger/TV personality Perez Hilton (2005-06), Cuban-born model Tomas Dew (2006-07) as well as TV executive Eli Holzman (2007), however, none of these relationships were actually confirmed.

Stevie Ryan’s most recent relationship known to the public was with singer-songwriter Adam Paranoia. Their relationship lasted from 2008 to 2010 and the two are also said to have gotten engaged.

Death & Cause of Death

Stevie Ryan’s life came to a tragic end on July 1, 2017, and as revealed by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office, her death has been ruled as suicide by hanging. The body of the 33-year old was discovered by her parents in her Los Angeles apartment.

Prior to her unfortunate death, Stevie Ryan shared her prolonged battle with depression in a series of podcasts tagged “Mentally Ch(ill)” which she co-hosted alongside fellow comedian and radio personality Kristen Carney. Ryan is said to have attempted transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), an experimental treatment for depression amidst other forms of treatment. But sadly, all of that came to an end too soon when she gave up the ghost.
