Regardless of his absence at their daughter’s birth, Eric kept asking to see his daughter, but Kimberly refused. Rather, she asked him to appear in court to prove Whitney’s paternity. On the flip side, Hartter could not appear in court. This is because he would risk being arrested for his heavy involvement in drugs. So, he stayed away from his daughter.

Aside from that, Marshall Bruce, also known as Eminem, adopted Whitney in 2005. Though Eminem and Kimberly were divorced, he had to take legal custody of Kimberely’s daughter. This was because Kimberly was struggling with drugs, and Eric had a couple of legal issues.

Eminem also denied Eric’s mother, Marie, access to her granddaughter. As a result, Marie sued Eminem for keeping her grandchild away from her. But the case did not hold water as Whitney grew up with her adopted family.

Aside from Whitney Scott Mather, Eric Hartter Had Other Children

The talented tattooist had never been married in his lifetime. After his affair with Eminem’s ex-wife, Eric kept the details of his life secret. But some sources have it that he never walked a lady down the aisle. He was more concerned about avoiding prison than raising a family.

However, it has been gathered that he had other children, but unfortunately, neither the number of children he had nor their names are available. We would later find out he had other kids with a woman named Sara Hubbard. This was revealed after she paid tribute to him after his death.
