Evanna Lynch is an Irish born actress, voice artist, model, and media personality. Way back in 2006, she made her professional acting debut with a bang when she was cast in the role of Luna Lovegood in the world-renowned Harry Potter movie franchise. Evanna Patricia Lynch was born on August 16, 1991, in the town of Termonfeckin in County Louth, Ireland. Her parents are Donal and Marguerite Lynch.
For her elementary education, Evanna Lynch schooled at Cartown National School and for secondary education, she schooled at Our Lady’s College, Greenhills, located in Drogheda, Ireland. In 2008, she spent her summer studying speculative fiction and drama at the Centre for Talented Youth of Ireland (CTYI), a school specially designed for the gifted teens in Glasnevin.
Prior to her role in the Harry Potter franchise, Evanna Lynch was a huge fan of the book series and as such, she corresponded regularly with the book’s author J.K. Rowling. However, her friendship with Rowling had absolutely nothing to do with her getting the coveted role.
