Emilie Livingston is a Canadian rhythmic gymnast who represented her native country at the summer Olympics in her heydays. She is also an actress, professional dancer, an aerialist and contortionist. Emilie Livingston was born on the 4th of January 1983, in the city of Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada. Quite an early bloomer, she began learning ballet and other forms of dance from the tender age of two and by the time she was 6 years old, she ventured into artistic gymnastics. Ten-year-old Livingston moved to Russia in 1993 to hone her skills with the hope of pursuing a career in rhythmic gymnastics. There, she trained with Russian professional gymnasts and coaches.
Livingston went on to have a successful professional career as a rhythmic gymnast, winning up to 3 national championships upon her return to her home country of Canada. On the international scene, she took part in the 1998 Commonwealth Games where she won a bronze medal in the Women’s rhythmic clubs and a silver medal in the Women’s rhythmic all-round team.
At the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she won the gold medal in the individual all-around category. She also represented her native country at the 1999 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships held in Osaka, Japan, as well as the 2000 Summer Olympics held in Sydney, Australia.
In addition to being a sportsperson, this multitalented athlete also worked as a model and since ending her career as a competitive gymnast, she has delved fully into the world of show business where she continues to deploy her priceless talents. She featured in the video of Justin Beiber’s 2012 hit “Beauty and a Beat” and 2 years later, she performed alongside music superstar Nicki Minaj at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.
Also an actress, Emilie Livingston studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and she graduated in 2007. Emilie Livingston and her Hollywood superstar husband Jeff Goldblum actually met at a gym called Equinox located in Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. Goldblum spotted her across the crowded room and instantly proceeded to have a chat with her.
