While schooling at Adlai E. Stevenson High School located in Lincolnshire, Illinois, he joined the school’s wrestling team. His choice of sports made it hard for Dylan to come out as gay as there not many wrestlers who make such details available to the public. Thus, Dylan kept his sexuality hidden, because he was afraid of the effect it will have on his wrestling career.

However, he didn’t stay in the closet for long. In May 2016, a discussion about a schoolmate who had come out as gay inspired Dylan to follow suit. He made the declaration about his sexuality to the dismay of his friends. Consequently, when the news spread, it received missed feelings from many people but his wrestling teammates stood by him.

Despite some negative reactions from people, Dylan became very popular for the courage he mustered to embrace his sexual orientation. He soon became a social media star, powered by an article about him which was published on a website called Outsports. It took only a week for Dylan’s Instagram, YouTube and Twitter accounts to record some major increase in followership.

Most of the contents on his YouTube channel are about fitness videos and adventure vlogs. On the channel which was created on August 9, 2012, Dylan has amassed over 202k subscribers and 4,845,782 views and counting. He is also active and known on other social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Twitch and YouNow. He has over 66k followers on Twitter, more than 731k on Instagram, while his YouNow channel has above 52,000 fans.

His career timeline as a wrestler is limited to his exploits in high school which count as very impressive. He was one of the finest wrestlers his school has seen. He took the fourth spot at the Illinois State Wrestling Championship.

Again, Dylan Geick was a representative for the Illinois Freestyle National Team three times and also joined the Outsiders AAU Team. Additionally, he took the fourth spot during the IHSA State Wrestling Tournament and equally took part in the famous Ivy League.

Asides wrestling, Dylan Geick is also an author. He has already published a collection of poetry called Early Works and he is now working on his first novel. He has also worked as a model for a luxury fitness company called Equinox Fitness.

Family Of The Instagram Star And Wrestler

He grew up under the care of his parents, Kelly Bauer and Steve Geick but their profession is not known. Dylan shared his childhood memories with two siblings, sister Johnna and brother Mason. Nothing more is known about his siblings including what they are up to these days.

While Dylan Geick is yet to start his own family, he was in a relationship with Jackson Krecioch, starting from 2017, it ended in late 2018.
