If you are a fan of country music, then it’s most likely that you have come across some of Dustin Lynch’s songs. The smooth-voiced, blue-eyed hunk is one of the most talented and sexiest country singers in contemporary times. Since kicking off his music career in 2011, Lynch has dropped no less than six chart-topping songs. He has also sold over seven million records worldwide. Given this level of success, it is often easy to see Lynch as just another celebrity. However, a little digging would reveal that there are multiple layers to this man.
Dustin Lynch’s Journey to Stardom as a Musician
Dustin Charles Lynch was born on the 14th of May 1985 in Tullahoma, Tennessee. His father’s name is Chuck while his mother’s name is Patti Lynch. There is currently no information about any potential siblings that the singer may have. Lynch spent his formative years in Tullahoma and occupied himself with pastimes such as hunting and fishing. He also fell in love with country music and dedicated a significant portion of his childhood to mastering the guitar as well as writing songs.
Lynch thus harbored musical aspirations from an early age but had to drop it to focus on his academics. The young man, however, resuscitated his dreams while studying at Lipscomb University, Nashville. He used his spare time to perform at the nearby Bluebird Café as well as other southwest venues. He subsequently landed a recording deal in 2011 after being discovered via his Myspace page.
Dustin Lynch dropped his eponymous debut studio album in 2011. The album topped the Billboard Country Album Charts upon release. It also spurned several hit singles including Cowboys and Angels which reached number two on the Billboard Country Charts. Following this awesome debut, Lynch has not relented but has gone on to release other successful albums such as Where It’s At and Current Mood. The Tennessee native has also toured with accomplished country singers such as Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Brad Paisley, and Thomas Rhett. He has won iHeartRadio and Billboard Music Awards.
His Sexual Orientation and Dating History
Lynch’s music usually touches on themes of romance, intimacy, and he has revealed that much of his lyrics are inspired by real-life experiences. However, the singer is not one to name names. He also takes great care to keep his romantic liaisons out of the spotlight.
This has therefore resulted in several speculations including rumors that he may be gay. There however seems to be no iota of truth in this. If the singer is gay, he would have disclosed that fact to the world.
Dustin Lynch is not one to kiss and tell. He religiously hides details about his love life and as such, his dating history is hard to come by. The crooner was however rumored to have dated British media personality, Kelly Osbourne, in 2017. Osbourne first stoked the rumor mill when she shared a video of her and Lynch, blowing out an “anniversary cake”, on her Instagram.
She described Lynch as her “boo” and stated that the cake was to celebrate their first anniversary. The tabloids ran with this and concluded that the pair were dating. Lynch, however, cleared the air in subsequent media interviews; maintaining that he and Osbourne are just friends who love hanging out together. He also stated that they shared several similar traits which explained why they got along so well.
Who Is His Girlfriend?
Meanwhile, the crooner has finally laid the rumors and speculations to rest as he is now in a confirmed relationship with a professional model and budding actress named Kerri Seymour. Seymour is a native of Biloxi, Mississippi. She is based in Los Angeles and is represented by White Cross Management.
Dustin Lynch and Seymour first met sometime in 2018. He was instantly attracted by her beautiful smile and sent her a direct message on Instagram. Luckily for him, she followed him back and responded.
The two spent the next few months texting and face-timing, subsequently realizing that they shared similar values. Therefore, they met up at one of Lynch’s concerts and the rest, as they say, is history.
Lynch and Seymour made their first red carpet appearance at the BMI Awards in November 2019. They also appeared together at the CMA Awards the following day. The couple has since built a fun, effortless, and easy relationship. Even though they live thousands of miles apart, they regularly travel to see each other. They have also introduced each other to their respective families.
