Famed for his No. 91 jersey, Dominique Easley is a professional football player who currently features in the National Football League (NFL) for the Los Angeles Rams. Easley was born to a Haitian mother called Carine Easley on February 24, 1992, in Staten Island, New York. The name of his father is David Easley. The skillful footballer attended Curtis High School in Staten Island, where he competed in track and played football as well. Upon graduation, he joined the University of Florida, where he also carved a niche for himself in track & field as a junior.

2. Professional Career

Easley formally launched his pro football career in 2014 after he was picked in the first round (29th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He subsequently signed a four-year contract worth $7.3 million with the team on June 23, 2014.

The footballer made his debut appearance in a game against Miami Dolphins on September 7, 2014, after which he was placed on injured on December 17 by his team. Of the 11 games he played in his rookie season, the kick receiver finished with 1 interception, 9 tackles, 1 pass defended, and 1 sack. Easley started the 2015 season as a starting defensive tackle, ending his season with two sacks and 15 tackle. He was later released by the Patriots in an unexpected move on April 13, 2016.

Dominique’s next stop was at the Los Angeles Rams, where he consented on May 2016 to play for the team for one year. He featured in all 16 games for the team in the same year, gaining two forced fumbles, 35 tackles, and one pass deflected.

Easley entered the 2017 season with high hopes of making bigger impacts but they were all cut short as a result of a fatal injury he sustained during a camp training with the Rams. He, however, signed a one-year deal to continue playing for the team on March 19, 2018.

3. Knee Injury

In the course of his career in the NFL, Easley has suffered a rash of serious injuries that pushed him into the surgery ward. The footballer went through his first major injury in 2011 when he tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) at the University of Florida. He also suffered the same injury in 2013 at Florida. Easley’s injury problem returned again in August 2017 but this time, he injured his lateral collateral ligament (LCL) after he overstretched his ligament.

Dominique Easley is currently listed on the Los Angeles Rams active roster with a cap hit pegged at $850,000, after signing a one-year deal worth $1.85 million with the Rams.
