Devon Bostick Bio (Age)
He was born in Toronto, Canada on the 13th day of November 1991 to his parents Stephanie Gorin and Joe Bostick. He is of English and Norwegian descent from both sides of his parents who are artists in their own right, thus the lad was born with acting in his genes. His father is an actor and film flight coordinator while his mom works on the stage as well as the screen.
Unsurprisingly, Devon’s artistic side began to manifest from the first grade when he was given the role of the old man in a theater-camp production of Jack and the Beanstalk. He began acting again from the fifth grade. For higher education, Bostick attended Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto where he graduated from with a major in drama.
From 1998, he began his professional acting career making his TV debut in a small role. By the 2000s, Devon Bostick had gotten quite adept at honing his skills with small parts in TV shows as well as in film. He appeared in three episodes of Degrassi: The Next Generation, but his first major recurring TV role was in Being Erica.
In 2011, Bostick got what would become one of his most-loved roles as Rodrick Heffley in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules. He would come to be replaced by Charlie Wright in the film’s fourth installment, a move that angered many fans and saw the filmmaker receive some serious criticisms.
Bostick’s other film credits also include; Dead Before Dawn 3D, A Dark Truth, The Art of the Steal, Small Time, and Regression. The list goes on, but he has been less lucky with TV roles. He has managed guest parts in shows like; Rookie Blue, Flashpoint, Haven, She’s the Mayor. Bostick’s first main TV role came as Jasper Jordan in The 100 as one of the main casts of the show which premiered in March 2014.
Devon Bostick sure does have a bright future in his acting career. So far, he has done really well for himself and has managed to rack up a net worth estimated at $3 million.
Girlfriend, Is He Gay?
When an actor is seen in any sexual role that contradicts what is perceived as the norm, questions are asked about his sexuality and in Devon Bostick’s case, the case was no different. He has played a couple of gay roles in his career, most notably the 2017 adventure drama film, Okja. The very believable intense gay scenes that Devon executed to perfection has made many wonder if just maybe the actor could be drawing from personal real-life experiences.
As far as we can tell, Bostick has never officially debunked the gay rumors, instead, he has only added fuel to it by severally taking to his social media platforms to post cryptic messages about his relationships. On the 26th of September 2015, he pledged solidarity to the gay community by taking to his Twitter page to state that no one should be allowed to get married if gay couples were not allowed to get married.
Many largely believe that the actor is heterosexual and is just a very good actor when it comes to his gay roles. For now, the Canadian doesn’t seem to be one who loves talking much about his romantic relationships. We’ll be patiently waiting for when he is ready to spill it all. Rumor has it that Bostick is in a relationship with Swiss model and actress Alexandra Burman.
