Born on April 18, 1998, Devan and his brother, Collins, who is two years older, are the only sons of Steven and Anne Key. He and his brother were born and raised in California, United States and the two share a brotherly bond that is made evident in the way they connect with each other in their videos.
Though not much is known about his educational background, Devan Key started building his social media résumé as far back as 2012 when he opened his Twitter account. When Collins finished in the fifth position of the 2013 installment of America’s Got Talent, he became the first magician to ever get that close to winning in the history of the talent show. Only sixteen years old at the time, Collins’ newfound fame made a lot of people interested in his YouTube channel which he had started before he went on the show. As a result of this, Devan basically rode his brother’s popularity into fame when he appeared on his video for the first time in 2014.
Although he is best known today as Collins’ brother, Devan Key had already built a fairly substantial following for himself on Instagram before his appearance in his brother’s video brought him even more into the limelight.
