Stranger Things announced David Harbour to the world like none other of his gigs ever had. In a career that spans almost two decades (and counting), the American actor has had roles in some major films like Quantum of Solace, Revolutionary Road and The Newsroom. David Kenneth Harbour was born on the 10th of April 1975, in White Plains, New York. His parents Kenneth and Nancy (née Riley) Harbour work respectively in the commercial and residential sectors of the real estate industry.

Harbour was schoolmates with fellow future actors; Sean Maher and Eyal Podell during his days at Byram Hills High School in Armonk, New York. Upon high school graduation, Harbour headed to Hanover, New Hampshire where he attended Dartmouth College and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

And then came 1999, when David Harbour decided to start acting professionally beginning his career in theaters. He made his debut in the revival of The Rainmaker. Harbour began his screen acting the same year with a role in an episode of Law & Order. He would come to appear in multiple roles in the show.

He made his feature film debut playing the titular character in the biographical film, Kinsey. Subsequently, Harbour beefed up his resume with roles in Quantum of SolaceRevolutionary Road, and, State of Play. As of this writing, David Harbour is in a relationship with singer-songwriter and actress Alison Sudol. The couple went public with their romance during the award season in 2018.

The reveal couldn’t have come at a better time as 2018 was indeed a good year career-wise for the actor. He earned the most award nominations that year than any other year. In all of the award shows that Harbour attended, he came with Sudol in hand.

One of the moments that would remain indelible in their minds came at the Critics Choice Awards when Harbour, en route to pick up his award for the Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series stopped by to give Sudol a peck on the cheek. It made for an adorable sight.

Harbour’s lady has been active in the industry since 1997 when she began her career as a singer with the moniker A Fine Frenzy. She worked actively as a musician from 2007 to 2014. Her acting career began to pick up in 2014 when she landed a recurring role in the first season of Transparent.

She got her big break with Queenie Goldstein in 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. She reprised her role in the 2018 sequel, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Alison Sudol resumed recording in 2017, this time with her real name. Born to parents who taught dramatic arts, Sudol has a soft spot for literature. She plays the piano and the guitar.
