Darren Sugg is an American creative director and game developer who rose to prominence as one of the creators of Fortnite, an online video game. He is currently the creative director and chief designer for Epic Games.

Soon after he graduated from college, Sugg got his first job at TenTV, where he worked as a Portal Development Manager for three years. Thereafter, he started his career with the game development company – Turbine, in January 2006. He was part of the team that created the massively multiplayer online game (MMOG), Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar in 2007. They also followed it up with a sequel, The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria, in 2008.
