Colin Kelly Jost was born on June 29, 1982, in Staten Island, New York. Growing up, he alongside his brother Casey Jost was raised in Grymes Hill by their parents, Daniel A. Jost (father) and Kerry J Kelly (mother) who were staunch Roman Catholics. While there is no information as regards his elementary school education, it’s known that he attended Regis High School where he developed and nurtured his talent in writing with him going on to become the editor of the school newspaper, The Owl. His big break eventually came in 2013 when he was tasked by SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels to replace Seth Meyers as co-anchor on The Weekend Update segment of the Saturday Night Live series.
