Clive Standen has wowed us with his talent and acting prowess. In view of the admiration he has gathered from his career, it comes as no surprise that many are ever willing to gulp down whatever information they can lay hands on about his private life.

Beyond the masculine and hunky Rollo which he portrayed in the tv series, Vikings or even the martial arts aficionado, Bryan Mills in the NBC series Taken, Standen has a soft and tender side for his family. Let’s get down to learning more about the life of this amazing British actor off our televisions.

From the age of 11, he practiced Muay Thai daily and even traveled to Thailand at 16 to train. By his late teens, he was a former international Muay Thai boxer and Fencing gold medalist. Before the duo eventually tied the knots, the proposal from Clive Standen was a dreamy land tale. On that fateful day, the actor dressed as his then girlfriend’s favorite celebrity, Elvis Presley and sang the song, Fools Rush In. While she was still in the ecstasy of the moment, he popped the question. There may not be a huge ring then but he made sure every moment of it was big.

They have been married for over a decade, but to them, it feels just like yesterday. Clive still cooks for his wife during the weekend and utilizes every opportunity he has off work to spend time with his family. They live in London with their three children; two sons, Hayden (2003) and Rafferty (2011) and a daughter, Edie (2007).
