Claire Rhiannon Holt is an Australian actress who was born on the 11th of June, 1988 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Growing up, Claire attended Stuartholme School in Toowong. She enjoyed participating in sports like swimming, volleyball, and water polo. She also owns a black belt in Taekwondo and was a part of her school choir at a very tender age.

After graduating from school in 2005, Claire did not bother going off to a college. She chose to pursue a professional career in acting.

In 2006, her career began with her role as Emma Gilbert in Network Ten Children TV series H2O: Just Add Water. Due to its high ratings and fan base, Claire Holt became a certified star in Australia. Sadly, she left the show after the second season. The show bagged a Logie Award and Nickelodeon Australia Kids’ Choice Award during its run.

When Claire Holt left the show, she signed on to appear in Messengers 2: The Scarecrow (2009) which was shot in Sofia, Bulgaria. She appeared in 26 episodes of the series as Rebekah and on the 13th of January, 2013, she reprised her role in its spin-off – The Originals, appearing in 24 episodes. Her character, Rebekah Mikaelson, was an original vampire and the sister to Klaus and Elijah Mikaelson, who served as villains on The Vampire Diaries and later appeared as Anti-heroes on The Originals.

For her role, she received a nomination for the Choice TV Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy’s Teen Choice Awards.

This beautiful Australian actress has been married twice. Her first marriage was to longtime boyfriend and TV producer Matthew Kaplan. Their marriage was in April 2016 but on the 27th of April 2017, Matthew filed for a divorce.

Her second marriage was on the 18th of August 2018 to real estate executive – Andrew Joblon. The pair got married in an intimate wedding ceremony. This was after they got engaged on the 3rd of December 2017 following her divorce from her former husband, Matthew.

3. Her Best friend

Claire Holt has been best friends with fellow Australian actress, Phoebe Tonkin since they both starred on H2O: Just Add Water. They were also TV castmates on The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.

When Phoebe relocated to Los Angeles, the two friends lived close to each other.
