The former NBA star was born Mayce Edward Christopher Webber III on March 1, 1973in Detroit, Michigan. He was raised alongside 4 younger siblings. Following his top-notch collegiate career with the Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball team, Webber was selected by the Orlando Magic as the number one overall pick of the 1993 NBA draft. Chris Webber spent only one season with the Warriors after which he was traded to the Washington Bullets/Wizards where he spent 4 seasons.
