Chris Pine was born Christopher Whitelaw Pine on the 26th of August 1980 in Los Angeles to a family of actors. He attended the University of California, Berkeley where he joined theater and began acting in plays. He graduated from Berkeley in 2002 with a degree in English after which he attended the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Pine also honed his acting skills at the American Conservatory Theater, San Fransisco and started his professional acting career in 2003.
He began by taking small parts in TV shows including ER, The Guardian, CSI: Miami, American Dreams, and Six Feet Under. Pine made his feature film debut in the rom-com The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004). Other rom-com roles soon followed before he landed the role of James T. The veteran actor who was born on the 10th of July 1941 began acting in 1964 and continues to remain active in the industry as of this writing.
Over the course of his career, Robert Pine has appeared in numerous TV shows, among them; Gunsmoke, Lost in Space, Barnaby Jones, Lou Grant, among others.
