American-born Hollywood actor Chace Crawford got his career breakthrough on the hit teen drama series Gossip Girl where he portrayed the main character, Nate Archibald. Christopher Chace Crawford was born on July 18, 1985, in Lubbock, Texas. He has mainly English roots with remote degrees of Scottish, Northern Irish and German ancestry. He had his high school education at Trinity Christian Academy in Addison, Texas. As a teenager, Crawford worked as a model for a number of major retail clothing brands. Upon graduation in 2003, he enrolled to study broadcast journalism and marketing at Pepperdine University. However, he did not complete his degree as he dropped out to go fulltime into acting.
