It is very common to hear in Hollywood that the kids of a famous entertainer have lost their way due to lack of parental guidance and the fame and fortune in which they found themselves in. This is however not the case for Carys Zeta Douglas, the daughter of actor Michael Douglas and actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, who have made sure that she does not tow this life part by instilling manners and reality-checking her. This is evident in the fact that unlike others in her shoes, Carys possess a sense of restraint that has left the world wondering things about her.

Carys Zeta Douglas Bio (Age)

Carys Zeta Douglas was welcomed into the world by her parents; Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, on the 20th of April, 2003 at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey. According to reports, the baby girl weighed 6 lb. and 12 oz. at the time of her birth. She is of mixed American, Bermudian, Welsh, and English descent.

Due to the fact that her parents wanted her away from the madness of Hollywood and the prying eyes of the media, Carys’ early years were spent in the sunny island of Bermuda where her parents own a lavish home. At a later age, the family moved to Manhattan, New York where the young girl got to experience the craziness of being a celebrity daughter and everybody wanting to know every single thing about you.

While it is not clear where exactly Carys Zeta Douglas receives her education, it is known that she is not homeschooled as many people have thought. Following in the footsteps of her parents, the young girl has participated in various acting projects in school, such as her school’s production of the rock musical ‘Spring Awakening’ and in the one-act play, ‘Once on This Island’.

It is not clear what will happen next for the Hollywood heiress who will have to decide whether to follow her parents’ footsteps in becoming an actor or rather moving towards creating a legacy of her own. She is said to have a dream of receiving an ivy league education and possibly having a career in medicine. Before that, however, the young girl has also shown signs of being interested in the fashion and modeling world.

In September 2017, Carys Zeta Douglas made her modeling debut by walking the runway at Michael Kors during New York Fashion Week. She is further said to have also worked for popular luxury brands like Versace and Chanel.

Carys Zeta Douglas is the third generation in a family of show business royalty. Her paternal grandparents are Kirk and Diana Douglas who were both actors in the film industry’s Golden Age. Kirk and Diana’s first son, Michael Douglas, who is Carys’ father, followed in the footsteps of his parents to also have a career in Hollywood.

In 1977, Michael Douglas married his first wife, Diandra Luker, and the two welcomed a son named Cameron, Carys’ older half brother, in the following year. Following the failure of the marriage, Micheal married actress Catherine Zeta-Jones in November 2000 and the two went on to have two children; a son named Dylan in 2000 and Carys in 2003.

While Dylan has made a number of appearances as an actor, most notably in Phineas and Ferb (2007), not much is known about him other than the fact that he is currently enrolled at Brown University. Cameron, on the other hand, is an established actor having appeared in movies like Jackie Chan‘s Mr. Nice Guy (1997), It Runs in the Family (2003), and National Lampoon’s Adam & Eve (2005).
