Brooklyn Sudano was born with the best of both genes of her parents who are performing artists. She grew to become talented in dancing, singing and acting for which she gained notoriety in the latter with her starring in My Wife and Kids, an ABC sitcom as Vanessa Scott and Taken, an NBC action series as Asha Flynn.

In the first month of the year 1981, on the 5th day, Brooklyn Sudano was born (5th Jan. 1981) in Los Angeles, California into a Black American family. Records have it that she was named after her father’s hometown of Brooklyn in New York. The young girl grew up in a country life setting as her family which also comprised of her sister and step-sister lived on a 56-acre ranch in Thousand Oaks California. The ranch had a big garden in it and they raised chickens, cows and also had dogs at the time.
When she was about a decade old, her family relocated to Connecticut and later Nashville when she was around 14. During these times, Brooklyn’s mother’s musical influence had begun to rub off on her daughters as they began singing backing vocals for her in their leisure time as well as devoted time to learning how to dance and write songs at other times.
It is also worthy to note that Brooklyn Sudano sang in her church choir as well as participated in her high school – Christ Presbyterian Academy theatre productions. After high school, the would-be actress furthered her education at Vanderbilt University briefly before proceeding to train more as a performing artist at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.
She first stepped into the limelight as a model following her contract with Ford Modeling Agency. Brooklyn went on to appear in a couple of adverts on television and print for the likes of Clairol, K-Mart Clean & Clear and a whole lot of others.

As inferred from the beginning paragraph, Brooklyn Sudano was born to parents who were both entertainers. Her mother was Donna Summer (a renowned Black American singer) and her dad Bruce Sudano, a famous Italian-American singer of good standing.
Brooklyn’s mum died of Lung cancer on May 17, 2012, but during her lifetime, she gained wide popularity as a singer, songwriter, and actress with works that earned her five Grammy Awards, 230 million records sold worldwide which earned her the world’s best-selling artists of all time. Donna is notable for albums like “Lady of the Night,” “I’m a Rainbow,” “Crayons” and many others.
On the other hand, Brooklyn Sudano’s dad Bruce Sudano was famous for writing evergreen songs for world-famous artists like Reba McEntire, Michael Jackson, and Dolly Parton. He is also famous for hits like “Ball of Fire”, “Starting Over Again” and many others.

The My Wife and Kids star is married to her longtime boyfriend Mike McGlaflin. The two got married on October 8, 2006, and currently share a daughter together in their Los Angeles, California home.
