With two major championships – 2009 Kraft Nabisco Championship & 2015 ANA Inspiration under her belt, Brittany Lincicome has earned a spot on the list of the longest drivers in the history of female golf players. Hot on the heels of joining the LPGA Tour in 2005, she led the organization in driving distance with an average of 270.3 yards or 247.2 m which she increased in 2006 to an impressive 278.6 yards or 254.8 m, putting her in the second position among all LPGA players.

Brittany Lincicome’s Biography

On September 19 in 1985, the golf champ was named Brittany Grace Lincicome at birth in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA. By nationality, she is an American while her ethnicity is of North American. The only detail available about her family is that her parents are Angie Lincicome (mother) and Tom Lincicome (father). Amateur Golfing Days

As an amateur in the game, Brittany Lincicome took part in more than 100 amateur events and recorded several wins and milestones. She first won the American Junior Golf Association Chateu Elan for two years – 2001 and 2003 respectively. Also in 2003, she won the Avilla Junior Classic and clinched the Harder Hall Invitational in 2004.

Not resting on her oars just yet, Brittany scooped the second win the next year at the Ginn Open. The finals which took place in April 2007 saw her holding off Ochoa once again to capture the victory on the 72nd hole. The same year, Brittany Lincicome was able to debut on the U.S. Solheim Cup team and lost to Laura Davies in singles play.

By 2009, Lincicome was back on her winning streak, taking the title for the Kraft Nabisco Championship, an LPGA major. She, however, lost a sudden-death playoff in 2014 at the LPGA Championship. She lost the feat to Inbee Park.

Back on her feet, Brittany Lincicome walked away with a second major championship in April 2015. The win came at the ANA Inspiration which was her second time of winning the major. She first won the title in 2009. In a sudden-death playoff with Stacy Lewis, she won with a par on the third extra hole.
