Bridget Lancaster is a celebrity cooking star who has become famous for different cooking shows such as America’s Test Kitchen and Cook’s Country. More than just TV shows, she has also become famous on the radio where she shares her cooking tips and methods.

One of the things that have not only stood her out but also helped her to rise in her career apart from her culinary skills is the fun that she is able to bring to her shows.

Bridget Lancaster – Bio (Age)

It was in 1968 that Bridget Lancaster was born in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. She was raised by her parents Jim and Linda Sapp alongside a sister in Cross Lanes where she got her education from Nitro High School from where she graduated in 1987. From there, she proceeded to Ohio State University.

The journey of Lancaster to the great chef she is today began since when she was just a child. At the time, she learned cooking from her mother whom she described as a great from-scratch cook. More so, she revealed that even her grandmother was also good with baking.

While growing up with her sister, the two girls loved baking and for Christmas celebrations, they decorated cookies which she described as some of her best moments as a child. With most of the culinary skills gotten from her mother, she worked in a few restaurants before kicking off her career in 1998 with Christopher Kimball’s magazine.

She first began as a test cook alongside two others and in no time, she found herself as a cast member of Cook’s Country which later began on PBS in 2008 with Christopher Kimball, Bridget Lancaster, Julia Collin-Davison, Erin McMurrer, Jack Bishop, and Adam Ried as its first cast members.

Even before Cook’s Country, she became a part of Kimball’s America’s Test Kitchen which began to air in 2001. Since then, she has remained as one of its presenters together with Julia Collin Davison and producers.

Husband and Family

It gets interesting to know that Bridget is married to Stephen Lancaster who is also a highly celebrated professional chef in Boston. While it is not known how the couple met or even for how long they dated or got married, it is public knowledge that their union has produced two children – Tom who was born in 2002 and James, born in 2008.

Stephen Lancaster is from Scotland and because of this, Bridget reveals that the family loves French Butter Cookies. Being a family of celebrated chefs, the Lancasters love getting together to make French Butter Cookies while their sons who may also have some interest in what their parents are into, decorate them with red and green sugars.

Bridget, her husband, and their kids now live in Marblehead, Massachusetts. While Tom is described as the adventurous eater, James is the one who is more on grape jelly sandwiches.
