Brandon co-founded Riot Games in August 2016 alongside his USC roommate Marc Merrill. Drawing inspirations from Defense of the Ancients and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne Mod, the duo came up with a multiplayer online battle arena video game titled League of Legends (abbreviated LoL). In October 2016, Riot Games also released another game, a cooperative board game titled Mechs vs. Minions. The company since its inception has grown profitably many thanks to the management expertise of one of its founders – Brandon Beck. The company is now headquartered in West Los Angeles, California and has over 24 offices around the world with more than 2,500 members of staff.
