Arijit Singh’s  Biography (Age)

Born on the 25th April 1987 in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal to a Punjabi father and a Bengali mother, Singh’s foray into music can be traced back to his childhood days as he displayed his love for the art when he started singing at the early age of three.

His talent for singing was also influenced by fate as he hails from a family that was into music. It is common knowledge that some of his maternal relatives sang and played musical instruments. His mother was not left out as she also sang and played the table, a traditional musical instrument. Great classical musicians like Mozart, Beethoven, and other prominent Indian musicians were also part of the factors that shaped Arijit’s music direction. All these influences went a long way to shape Singh into becoming the artiste he is today.

For his education, he attended Raja Bijay Singh High School and later Sripat Singh College which was affiliated to Kalyani University. But then, schooling was not just his thing as music held him captive. His parents realized this and gave him their full support to pursue his musical career. This quest to improve on his talent brought him in contact with Rajendra who helped him to sharpen and refine his talent by teaching him the works of Rabindranath Tagore; this went on until Singh landed a Government scholarship to study Indian Classical Music.

At age 18, Singh made an impressive performance in a reality show titled Fame Gurukul; in the year 2005. Although he didn’t emerge the winner of the reality show, he got the opportunity to showcase his talent to a larger audience and this exposed him to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a famous filmmaker he started working with.

Not emerging as the winner in Fame Gurukul didn’t deter Singh as he would later go on to win in another reality show. His quest to conquer more heights made him relocate to Mumbai where he settled. And, in order to explore other aspects of music, Singh established his own recording studio. By doing so, he was able to work with the media, composing pieces for tv and radio stations.

His musical journey made him cross path with Pritam Chakraborty in 2010 and they worked together on three successful movies, his contribution was mostly singing and producing. The pair continued to work together on many other projects with Singh also working with other producers and actors including Shah Rukh Khan.

His Net Worth

Singh decided to have a recording studio of his own and used the prize money he won from the reality show 10 ke 10 Le Gaye Dil to make this dream a reality. The studio brought him some financial freedom, handing him the audacity to intensify the pursuit of his music career. His estimated net worth which includes remuneration from his songs, his personal investments, musical programmes and other sources is totaled to $6 million.

Nonetheless, it is imperative to point out that it has been difficult for us to authenticate the amount believed to be the overall value of his wealth. Frankly speaking, the real total worth of the star’s wealth is best known to him alone.
