Her given name is Anneliese Louise van der Pol, she was born on the 23rd of September 1984 in Naaldwijk, Netherlands. Her early education was accomplished at Washington Elementary School where she commenced acting in her third grade. Anneliese passed through Bellflower Middle School and High School but later, she went on transfer to Orange County High School of the Arts located in Santa Ana California from where she finished in 2001.
During her teens, she portrayed the role of Sandy Dumbrowsky in the revival version of Grease by Huntington Beach Playhouse. For her effort, she bagged the Bobbi Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Asides playing Eva Peron in Evita, another of her teenage role which lasted from 2000 to 2001 was in the musical theatre production of Oklahoma! where she played the leading role of Laurey. For that, she bagged two prestigious nominations which include a B. Anneliese van der Pol’s family is Jewish on her mother’s side and Dutch on her father’s side. Her dad has been identified as Willem van der Pol who earns a living at the California State University in Fullerton, California, working in his capacity as the director of the Physical Plant. Her mom’s name is Dyan Ross, an American of Jewish ancestry.
Anneliese’s mom named her after Annelies Frank, the Holocaust victim popularly known as Anne Frank (she was able to stay in hiding in the Netherlands for years during the 2nd World War before she was captured) after she went to see the house where Anne hid.
The famed actress is not an only child, she has a couple of sisters Rachel and Sarah who are both older than her. Notable among her sisters is Sarah who also works as a performer. When she was three, her family relocated to the US which gave her dual citizenship of both Dutch and American.
