Robb was born on December 8, 1993, in Denver to an interior designer, Janet and an architect David Robb. She is of Danish, English, Irish, Scottish, and Swedish descent and was named after her maternal great-grandmother and paternal grandmother whose names were Anna Sophie, and Anna Marie respectively.

AnnaSophia was raised in a Christian home and was home-schooled, however, in 2009, Arapahoe Herald reported she was attending Arapahoe High School Centennial, Colorado from where she eventually graduated in 2012. In the same year, she announced that she has been admitted to Stanford University but that she was deferring acceptance due to filming commitments.

While it’s known that Robb is the daughter of Janet and David Robb, it is not known who her siblings are. This has left many assuming she’s the only child of her parents.

As mentioned in the introduction, Robb took interest in acting and began acting from an early age. Her first performance was at her church stage, before an audience of about 500 individuals.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a huge success worldwide and helped to boost Robb’s fame and popularity among preteen audiences. In the same year, she became the face of a fashion line for girls – Trad Clothing.

The following year, she starred as a guest star on the cartoon show Danny Phantom. Robb was also in Bridge to Terabithia, where she starred alongside Josh Hutcherson. She was also responsible for the soundtrack for the film.
