As a member of the United States men’s basketball team, he won Gold with the youth team at the 2010 FIBA Under-17 World Championship and also won gold at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup after joining the senior team.

Andre Jamal Drummond was born on August 10, 1993, in Mount Vernon, New York. Both of his parents are natives of Jamaica. At age 7, he moved with his mother Christine Cameron and younger sister Ariana to Middletown, Connecticut. There, he attended Woodrow Wilson Middle School and afterward, moved to Capital Preparatory Magnet School in Hartford, Connecticut for his high school education. He was a standout basketball player in his freshman season and he recorded a significant improvement in his sophomore year. Career Stats

Andre Drummond was selected 9th overall by the Detroit Pistons in the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft. Despite coming off the bench for the greater part of his rookie season, he proved to be effective on the Pistons’ line up finishing the season with 7.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.0 steal and 1.6 blocks per game. He was named to the 2012–13 NBA All-Rookie Second Team and also finished 4th in the NBA Rookie of the Year voting.

The talented player has consistently upped his performance following his impressive run as a rookie in the 2012-13 season. The 2015-16 season was particularly outstanding for him as he put his name in the history books of the NBA for several reasons. On November 8, 2015, he became only the third player in the NBA to ever record three 20/20 games in the first 6 games of the season, the others being Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Wilt Chamberlain. His incredible performance earned him 2 successive Eastern Conference Player of the Week awards in November 2015, becoming the first Pistons player to achieve the feat.

The following month, he recorded a career-high 33 points and 21 rebounds in the team’s 147-144 win over the Chicago Bulls, becoming the first Pistons player record over 30 points and 20 rebounds in a single game since Dennis Rodman‘s 1990-91 season. He helped the Pistons finish the regular season as the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference and also secure a spot in the 2016 NBA Playoffs, their first since 2009. He led the league in rebounding, was named a 2016 NBA All-Star and he also received All-NBA Third Team honors.

Drummond continued in his history-making heroics into the 2016-17 NBA season. On November 9, 2016, he compiled 20 points and 17 rebounds against the Boston Celtics bringing his total career rebounds to 4000 and becoming the 2nd youngest player (23 years and 101 days old) to achieve the feat. He was also the second youngest player (at 24 years, 76 days) to reach the 5000 career rebounds milestone, a feat he achieved on October 25, 2017, during the 2017-18 regular season.

On January 24, 2018, against the Utah Jazz, the NBA star recorded his 2000th offensive rebounds at age 24 years and 167 days, becoming the youngest player to achieve the feat. Just like 2016, the talented player featured in the 2018 NBA All-Star Game, the second of his career. He finished the 2017-18 season with a career-high average of 16 rebounds per game, becoming the second player in 40 years to achieve such, the first being Dennis Rodman.

Back in 2013, he had a shortlived romance with Hollywood actress and writer Jennette McCurdy which ended on a not-so-palatable note. However, the NBA star has since moved on from that and has indeed come along way. His most recent relationship is with a gorgeous brunette who is known as Elizabeth Costadoni.

The duo embarked on a well-chronicled vacation during the 2018 offseason, however, a lot remains unknown about Drummond’s new lady love. On September 18, 2018, Costadoni announced via social media that she was expecting a baby and spontaneously, fans assumed Andre Drummond to be the father.
