Alona Tal was born on the 20th day of October 1983 in Herzliya, a city in the central coast of Israel. Her mother Ayala (née Sabat) is a legal practitioner while her father Ami Tal is an IT professional. She has Turkish-Jewish ancestry on her father’s side. Information regarding her early education is unavailable but we are in the know that she took interest in acting at an early age. However, she did not commence her acting career until she had carried out 2 years of compulsory military service as prescribed by the Israeli Defense Service Law.
In 2002, Alona Tal got her first film role in the Isreali film In the Magic Castle (Original title: Pim Pam Po BeArmon HaKsamim) and the following year, she appeared in another film To Be a Star (Original title: Lihiyot Kochav). She eventually got her breakout role on the television sitcom HaPijamot (2003–04, 2006).
