Alexa Datt is one fearless and unrelenting woman whose dreams of becoming a reporter paid off against all odds as she has had the opportunity to work with a good number of Network studios either as a broadcaster or reporter. So far, her major focus has been on sports-related news. She has thus reported news on the NBA, MLB, NFL, and CFB. In addition, she is currently working for the MLB network where she has her own daily program as the host of ‘MLB.com’s 12:25 Live’.
Alexa Datt – Bio & Age
Alexa Dattt was born on the 22nd of November 1985. Ever since she was a kid, she has always been fascinated with having a career in journalism. Interestingly, much of this fascination came from the influence her father, Douglas Datt had on her in her younger years; he was her role model. In terms of her education, though she hasn’t provided much information about her high school, Alexa Datt’s university education, on the other hand, was completed at the University of Maryland where she studied Spanish language, literature and broadcast journalism.
After her studies, Alexa Datt got hired as a productions assistant for America’s Most Wanted with the job description of helping out with reenactments while on set. Having worked for two years, she discovered that she needed to move on to something she was more passionate about which is sports reporting or anything related to sports. Fortunately, she got a job as a co-host on 120Sports.com’s The Morning Run, from where the fulfillment of her passion took off.
She was tasked with serving as an in-stadium host for the New York Mets games which were held at the Citi Field. The experience for her was a wonderful one as she got to report some of the best games she had seen and of course meet a whole lot of incredible people. In the course of her job as a reporter, according to her, Curtis Granderson is one of the nicest Mets players she has ever met. She currently works with the MLB Network studio as a reporter and host.
Relationship With Peter Rosenberg
The witty and gorgeous reporter Alexa began dating Peter Rosenberg, a television show host, and disc jockey, when they were still students at the University of Maryland. The pair quickly grew fond of each other that got engaged. On the 2nd of September 2012, the pair walked down the aisle. Their wedding ceremony which took place at Derwood, in the east-central Montgomery County, Maryland, had just a few guests in attendance, ranging from close friends to family members.
Alexa was only sixteen years of age when she got married, an age which was considered too young. Nevertheless, the marriage held because the pair loved each other deeply. Furthermore, her husband, Peter Rosenberg is also a popular face and host in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) program, Bring It to The Table.
Being that sports journalism is often seen as a male-dominated profession, Alexa has been asked a couple of times how she really felt about such a perception. According to her, she has been fortunate enough to be treated like “the boys” in terms of respect and yes, pay. Plus she says working in a supportive and serene environment or organization is definitely a morale booster. From her career, Alexa earns between $53,233 to $104,2540, a sum that is quite impressive.
When quizzed by Mets Insider, Alexa Datts revealed that apart from time spent working, she enjoys watching movies and sports during her free time. Some of her favorite movie genres are comedies like Zoolander, Old school, and Dumb and Dumber. In addition, though she currently reports news relating to basketball, she is more of a baseball fan.
3. Her Engagement
Alex Datt got engaged by Peter on their way to a surprise party while they were on the Brooklyn Bridge. According to her, the party was planned in hope that her answer would be a Yes.
Like most people, Alexa does have a pet peeve and those are dogs. She has a dog which weighs almost 30 pounds and she named it Bear.
