Aleisha was born on the 28th of April 1991, in the city of The Bronx, New York, in the U.S, by Angela LaNaé Allen (mother) and Otis LaNaé Allen (father). The former child actor is five years older than her brother, Omarri.
Allen is a graduate of the Manhattan, New York-based public school, Professional Performing Arts School, where she was coached alongside celebrities like American singer-songwriter Taylor Momsen and American pianist/singer Karina Pasian. She also studied at Pace University, from where she obtained her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in the year 2013.
Born Aleisha LaNaé Allen, this beautiful lady started her career journey by making appearances in commercials at a tender age. She eventually started portraying on-screen characters in the television industry at the age of 4. Her big break came in 1996 when she was picked to play the role of Sidetable Drawer in the American animated series Blue’s Clues which had 6 seasons, 143 episodes and aired from 8th September 1996 to 6th August 2004.
She also featured on the widely acclaimed children’s television series Out of the Box in the year 1998 and later joined the cast of The Electric Company (2010). Aleisha Allen debuted in the film industry in 1999 with Malcolm D. Lee’s romantic comedy-drama film, The Best Man. She was cast as a flower girl alongside Charltina Banks. Apart from Blue’s Big Musical Movie (2000), some of her other professional film credits are School of Rock (2003), Are We There Yet? (2005), and its sequel Are We Done Yet? (2007). She portrayed Lindsey Kingston in both Are We There Yet? and Are We Done Yet?, alongside Ice Cube, Nia Long, and Philip Daniel Bolden.
Allen also made appearances in the 2011 comedy-drama film Young Adult, as well as in the 2012 project You’re Nobody Till Somebody Kills You, which is her last known film. She starred in the former, alongside celebrity actresses Charlize Theron, Elizabeth Reaser, and Collette Wolfe.
Although the actress has been away from the filming set and camera for some time, it is assumed that the years and time she invested in the industry were quite rewarding and that she was able to make a reasonable amount of money from her involvements in the films and TV shows mentioned above.
